About Lesson
Animal Tissue
Animal tissues can be classified into four main groups based on their main functions
Connective Tissue:
Provides support, connects different body parts, and holds organs in place. Examples include bone, cartilage, and blood.
Epithelial Tissue:
Covers and protects surfaces, both inside and outside the body. Skin and the lining of organs are examples of epithelial tissues.
Muscle Tissue:
Allows movement by contracting and relaxing. There are three types: skeletal (voluntary), smooth (involuntary), and cardiac (heart muscles).
Nervous Tissue:
Transmits signals and messages throughout the body. It forms the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.
